OK .... you guy's inspired me to try the Land Lubbers Challenge, so I went over to Neighborly Sims and downloaded, everythings going fine, if you call "second day" "sick tomatoes" my Sim "ReAnna Rayne" is in a foul mood, won't tend her plants, won't fish and she's starving .... she does have 2 "catfish" in the inventory, but I don't get an option to grill them ..... got any clues? Thanks Cindy

Cindy,
I've never had this particular set of circumstances in my game, but maybe your Sim needs to build up her cooking skill level before she gets the option to cook the fish? I would send her to the bookcase and have her study cooking. Of course, her foul mood might cause her to not study, in which case you first need to build up her mood level. Have her do something that improves her mood first. If you weren't playing a challenge, I would suggest the "maxmotives" cheat just to get her into a better mood first. Of course, you could still do this and continue on with your challenge. I won't tell anyone. Nik looks the other way while whistling . . . .
Best Regards, Nik

Does your Sim have an actual bbq Cindy? I know when I did the Lost challenge that even my sims with no cooking skills could cook fish on their bbq... although I don't recall the type of fish I admit. As Nik said, perhaps you can up her mood by fulfilling some of her smaller wants and get her to study, but do try the cheap grill. So cool that you are Simming. Twoyys

Well, I started the challenge over, and after playing ALL DAY, I've actually made it thru the entire year, I figured out what I was doing wrong with the fish .... I just needed to choose "Make Meal for group" ... or something like that, and the option to cook the Blue Catfish was there! So now, I'm beginning the second spring season, and I've got ton's of fish and veggies in my inventory .... how do I sell it? Sure could use the extra cash, as my retirement years are fast approaching ..... LMBO! This has been a complete blast!
Thanks Cindy

Well, I've completed the challenge ...... ReAnna Rayne died in her sleep, fat and happy, and even left an inheritance to her friend Melissa .... LMBO! I'm gonna play the "Chicken" variation of the game, Mr. Willie MakeIt has accepted the challenge ..... first, I want to edit my storyline, and upload .... just have to figure out how to do that .... I've got my Sim Page over at Sims2.com .... is that where I start? PS...Thanks for stopping in Val, the site is still under construction, but it's gonna be a great central location for all my groups, the kids, and My Private Life .... LOL Hugs Cindy
