Does anyone know a pattern tutorial for Gimp? I don't have photoshop and I'm sucking at trying to figure it out in gimp -.- not sure if this is the right place Val so move me if you need to ^_^

I'm sorry. I tried to teach myself Gimp once, but I quickly gave up. I did notice over at ModTheSims2 that they have a tool for generating patterns for The Sims 3. Might want to look into it. They might also have a tutorial for it. If you're looking for an easy-to-use graphics editor that can generate seemless patterns, try Wood Workshop. It's free. I used it to create all sorts of patterns for walls and floors for The Sims 2. www.filebuzz.com/fileinfo/10883/Wood_Workshop.htmlThere are probably a lot of other freeware programs out there that will generate seemless patterns. problem is the tool is just basically the sims resource workshop, or rather the other way around, they don't actually BUILD the battern you still have to go through the editing and things -.- and I'm not getting it -sigh-
kicker is you have to have multiple layers for each section of the pattern by color and channel and ARGH! -has no hair left-
