Hello everyone. This is my first time posting, so I'm going to try my best to explain what the challenge is. I have TS (Complete Collection) and TS Life Stories and was given by my daughter TS3 as a present. I like playing The Sims, RPG online and Mystery / Adventure games. The mystery / adventure games I play involve roaming around manors and mansions and interacting with things as you go. But what caught my eyes the most was the way the rooms and the whole place were created. So my idea is to have them recreated in The Sims 3. I play games like the " Nancy Drew" series, " Agatha Christie" mystery games, " The Black Mirror" and a few others. My only issue is hunting down patterns to match walls, floors and furniture. Part 1: This challenge is to try and recreate the Mansion from the game: " Agatha Christie: And Then There Were None" Which should be easier then the other games I play since I did a search and found a blueprint of the Mansion's First Floor: and Second Floor: And since I have the CD, I copied screenshots in different angles of each rooms to help me see what patterns were used for the walls and floors, etc. I will upload those screenshots and post the links on here (Part 2) so you can have an idea of how the rooms look. And if you want to take on the challenge to try and recreate this Mansion.. I'd love to see your creation!

If you have photos of the exterior of the home, that would be beneficial, too! And welcome to The Corner!

hihi, nik and thank you! The screenshots of the game is limited to the angles set in the game.. so there aren't any options to roam and take screenshots of the exterior, sorry. I'll post them on here as thumbnails since there are several. (I hope that is ok) I apologize in advance to those that do not like thumbnails, however, this will make it easier for the thread to load. Also, I will like to add that I hope this thread doesn't discourage anyone into giving this a try... on the contrary! A Mansion does take alot of work to create whether it is from scratch or a recreation.. so I'm hoping the builders at heart give this a go. Part 2 (Main Floor) NOTE:[/u] There is no option in the game to change camera angles at free will, screenshots are taken how each room is displayed upon entering the areas. Comments are in order of screenshotsPatio - Patio Closeup - Patio Side ( The windows are to the Parlor Room) - Patio Far End ( The Corner of Parlor Room Wall) - Around the corner of Patio ( Sidedoor to Library) Entrance Hall ( door exit to Patio) - View2 ( facing Parlor room entryway) - View3 ( facing Dining Room dbl. doors) Parlor ( Camera view from game room) - View2 - Bar table in Parlor room ( behind sofa) - View3 ( Corner Wall) - View4 - Fireplace in Parlor Room Game Room ( Entering from Parlor Room.. door in the screenshot leads to Library) - View2 ( Facing towards Main Stairs... dbl. door in screenshot leads to Screening Room) Library - View2 ( White dlb. doors leading outside to around the corner of Patio) - Desk in Library Room - View 3 ( Facing Safe Room Entrance) - Safe Room Screening Room ( door behind character leads to Game Room) - View2 - View3 Main Stairs - View2 ( left side of staircase)

Part 2 (Main Floor) Continued... Dining Room ( Dbl. doors behind character leads to Entrance Hall) - View 2 ( Windows overlooking Front Patio - View 3 ( Door leads to Kitchen) Kitchen ( Door behind character leads to Dining Room) - View 2 ( Door on screenshot leads to Back Hall) - Vew 3 ( White door straight ahead leads to Kitchen Garden & open door on Right side of Character is the Pantry.) - View of Kitchen counter ( The closeup shows there are windows in the kitchen) PantryKitchen Garden - View 2 Back Hall ( Door behind character leads to Kitchen & Door on Right side of screenshot leads to Servants Qtrs.) - View 2 ( Door on left is Servants Qtrs. & Straight ahead is Service Stairs) - View 3 ( Around the corner of Back Hall... door leads to Main Stairs) Servants Quarters ( Door behind character leads to Back Hall & Door on left is the Bathroom.) - View 2 ( Either they did a mistake on the blueprint.. or this is a fake window!?[/i]) - View 3 ( Servants Qtrs. Bathroom) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well that's it for the Main Floor screenshots. I hope this helps give an idea of how the 1st floor looks. I've already started recreating this mansion in TS3 and I want to post my before / afters soon as I get enough of the Main Floor rooms done.

I loved that game and used to have screenshots because I wanted to recreate it myself. However this is not my forte. lol Looking forward to seeing someone make it work.

Hi Dovee, Thanks for posting such a great building challenge. As soon as I saw the first post I knew it'd be right up Nik's alley, or street. Sims withstanding, I don't play any other games on my pc anymore except online games, but I will certainly put any entries into my neighbourhoods, Twoyys

Love what you have done Dovee. Are you going to upload it? Curious to see if anyone else attempts this as well.

I don't know if I had uploaded the house right since I've never done any of that in the past.. but I did use the launcher to share the house and it shows up on my TS3 Community as shared. I used one of the bigger lots since I didn't know how big it would come out.. but it didn't need so much space after all. Contains Premium Objects in it .. I know.. I shoulda stuck with basic, but will it still be downloadable even if it has prem. objects and the users don't have those? Just a couple of simple items. Here's the link to the lot: www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=1167251
