I have obviously downloaded a house or some mailbox re-colours at some time and it has become the default one. I can't find it anywhere to get rid of it. Anyone know of this hack? I can't have a normal apartment life post box because of it and it is annoying the heck out of me. There were re-colours here at one time, the one I have on all the lots is blue. Anyone know how I can find it to delete it, so the maxis ones default again. regards, Jen

Jen, you are saying your mailbox is now a default one and it won't change? Even if you use the cheat changeLotZoning apartmentbase?

Yes, the blue one I have now must have been downloaded with a lot and now it has overridden the default maxis one. I can't seem to find it anywhere. I've done a files search and got rid of some, then re-started the computer just in case it needed to be and still hasn't gotten rid of it. I even know where it is in the decorations category, whilst in the game but because it is being used it won't let me delete it. It has no details either where it is or who made it, which doesn't help. I don't want to have to uninstall and re-install everything. My "vanilla" folder that I make maxis only stuff is fine just the ccgames with the downloads folder, I can't. Hope someone can help, regards, Jen

Thanks, baby, It seems I have fixed the problem myself. I went into the downloads and got rid of all the files with no names or identification, those ones that have a string of numbers and letters and it seems to have fixed things. Thanks for the link, Baby I'll file it for next time in case it is one of those hacks that keep coming back. regards, Jen

Jen,
I frequently run Delphy's Download Organiser from ModTheSims2. One of the things that it will do it to show the categorization of each download and shows the description that the creator gave it. I find it to be an extremely useful tool.
They seem to be offline at the moment. I'll try to check again later to post a link.
Best Regards, Nik

Thanks Nik, I'd appreciate that. I have clean installer but wouldn't mind having that other one as a back up check. regards, Jen
