For those of you who are not familiar with Sugah's Place, I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. In the autumn of 2000, I began playing the original Sims. Almost immediately, I was hooked and have been seriously addicted ever since. Inevitably, I started dabbling a bit in creating for The Sims as well. In the spring of 2006, I started Sugah Sims World Yahoo Group so that I may offer my downloads free to other Simmers. Over a year ago, I was introduced to the amazing world of The Sims 2. I can't tell you how much I enjoy playing TS2. It has brought me more hours of fun than I could possibly count. Not long after I started playing, I began creating for my own game. However, I really wanted an opportunity to share my latest creations with the Sims community. Last fall, I was offered the opportunity to be hosted by Planet the Sims/Gamespy. Unlimited bandwith ... and a way to offer my creations FREE to anyone who is interested? You bet! Hence, Sugah's Place was born. I am pleased to offer custom art, coordinating room sets, walls, prime real estate, fashions for your Sims, Sim models and more. Thanks to Planet the Sims/Gamespy, Sugah's Place downloads are free and always will be. I hope you'll stop by my little site, take a look around, and download til your heart's content. I update often, so remember to check back each week. Sincerely, Sugah Sim PS Special thanks goes out to dear Val for offering to share her little Corner of the Sims world with me.

I love your site, but I'm having trouble getting the downloads to work in game. I"m not sure what the problem is, but I don't think I've gotten anything to appear in-game yet, and I went and downloaded them all. Any help you can give is most appreciated. Thanks Joe

Joe did you try using the clean installer? I know I have successfully installed several Sims from Sugah's Place, they appear in CAS not in the family bin. Have you looked there? Val

Thank you for responding to Joe's query, Val. I wasn't online over the weekend. Joe, thank you so much for the lovely compliment. I truly appreciate it and am so glad you stopped by Sugah's Place for a visit. The Sims 2 Clean Pack Installer should be just the ticket, as Val described.

Thanks to both of you, I love the art on your site, I actually think i have one item that you did, it's a teal sofa and loveseat from Al. That was the only thing that made it into the game. Thanks again, Happy Thanksgiving to all of you Joe
The items show up in the clean installer, I even get pictures. The problem seems to be with the art and other downloads from Sugah's site, and from Thyme2sim ( the holiday doormats, I checked everywhere, and see them nowhere.

The teal set you are talking about is a lovely gift from Val, actually.
Joe, I'm so glad you found some things you like at Sugah's, especially the art. Walls and art are probably my fave things to do.
One of the things I need to fix about my site, is to let my visitors know WHICH Maxis cloned art to look behind in order to find my art in their games. In other words, I need to let folks know WHERE they can find my Josh Agle Shag Nudes for example. (Answer: Behind the A, B or C Stroke paintings from Nightlife)
I will probably do it with the actual art images (miniaturized) from the game, so my visitors can very easily know WHICH Maxis art mine is cloned from.
Thank you for downloading from Sugah's Place, Joe. I am glad the Sims 2 Pk Clean Installer made the difference. I have that noted on the front page, but really should put it on EVERY page!

I've tried everything short of removing and reinstalling the entire sims2 series ( I did that in August this year and it's a pain in the ). I searched the forums, tried some of their suggestions, removing the downloads folder out of that path, redownloading an object, to create a new folder, and nothing. Thanks for all your help, but I guess I have to try a fresh install. Joe

Hmmm...I just don't understand it Joe. Several of my friends (at another forum I help moderate) have posted screenshots of my walls and art in their games. So, I know they are showing up in others' games. Here's a check list of sorts ... Some of the art I've created is from the Nightlife and Freetime EPs, in case I haven't mentioned previously. I'm assuming you have both of those installed? Do you have the latest version of CEP installed, so Maxis clones/recolors will show up in your game? You MUST make sure Custom Content is ENABLED in your game, or you won't see anything you've downloaded. Go into the game's options and make sure you are allowing Custom Content. Be sure to extract the unzipped downloads in the My Documents folder for YOUR user profile. It will only show in the My Documents folder of the user whose profile it is in. eg.: C:\Documents and Settings\<your user name>\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads The Sims2 can NOT be running while you download, so make sure you close the game before you do. As mentioned previously, for downloading houses and complete Sims, it is best to use the Sims2Pk Clean Installer. I've heard from a few Simmers that they've had to download something several times before it "sticks". I don't know if that applies to Maxis recolors or custom objects, however. Hope this helps a bit, Joe. You might want to consider downloading the Sim File Maid 2, if all else fails. Check it out!

Oh, Joe! I'm so happy we solved your problem! That's terrific!!! It wasn't a silly problem AT ALL. There is a lot we Simmers have to learn not only to play this fabulous game, but also to download correctly. I'm just glad I could help. Thank you, again, for downloading from Sugah's Place. I appreciate your support.
